i’ve been quite pleased about movies this year. i’ve seen a handful of films I can most likely add to a favorites list- if i had one. i’m looking forward to the release of juno, which has been showing free screenings throughout the u.s. but the closest is in san diego. i still have nightmares about anton from no country for old men, arguably the best movie i have seen all year. the movie that i am not shamed to say incited an abundance of tears as well as sparked a new appreciation for the selfless, yet self-serving free-spirit is into the wild. Perhaps gone baby gone would not have nearly been as enjoyable without casey affleck<3, yet i think i freaked out a little at the end when (insert crazy thing here).
as i was sifting through the normal blogs, i was linked to blunder’s 40 worst lyricists. i think- i WAS apalled when i read their choice for #4, but when i saw paul mccartney as #38? or #37- i was either: (1) acting credulous because who the fuck would actually name paul mccartney a ‘bad’ lyricist, much less one of the ‘worst’ or (2) convinced these guys were ‘trying’ to be facetious.
